Driftwood Dreams
Primary Bedroom Remodel
This project involved the light remodel of our client’s primary bedroom suite, where the goal was to enhance the space's beauty while adhering to a strict budget. Located in a picturesque coastal setting, the home already had a natural charm, but the clients wanted to elevate their bedroom to reflect a more serene and airy ambiance.
Our team was tasked with finding a solution that would provide a visually striking change without overwhelming the space or the budget. Understanding the need for both simplicity and elegance, we proposed the addition of a shiplap accent wall on the bed-facing wall. The choice of shiplap was intentional—it not only evokes a coastal vibe but also adds texture and depth to the room, making it feel both cozy and expansive.
To ensure the design felt refined and cohesive, we added a picture-framed shadow gap border around the shiplap. This design choice was crucial in creating a seamless, polished look that enhances the architectural interest of the space. The shadow gap border subtly frames the shiplap, giving it an elevated appearance that complements the overall aesthetic of the room.
The clients were thrilled with the transformation. The new accent wall became the focal point of the room, effortlessly blending with the existing decor while providing the light, airy feel they desired. The shiplap accent added a touch of coastal elegance that perfectly aligned with the home’s surroundings.
This project exemplifies our ability to balance budget constraints with creative design solutions, resulting in a space that not only meets but exceeds our clients’ expectations. The final result is a serene, inviting retreat that embodies the tranquil beauty of its coastal setting.
