Guest Bathroom/Laundry Remodel
Our client’s coastal beach house bathroom was in dire need of a refresh—it was dark, outdated, and lacked the inviting atmosphere expected in a main guest bathroom. The cramped layout was exacerbated by a side-by-side laundry closet with bifold doors, making the space feel smaller and less functional.
To address these challenges, we embarked on a complete renovation. The first step was to remove the existing laundry closet walls, freeing up space for the installation of sleek, stackable laundry units. This redesign allowed us to introduce custom-built cabinetry, which provided abundant storage for linens, bath towels, and beach essentials. We finished the laundry alcove with a pristine white quartz countertop, offering a practical and clean surface for everyday tasks.
In place of the old, built-in vanity, we installed a freestanding driftwood vanity, which became a focal point in the room. This was paired with an accent shiplap wall and a custom-fabricated nautical porthole mirror that also serves as a medicine cabinet, blending function with coastal charm. The outdated tub was replaced with a luxurious, extra-long model, complete with white textured tiles and a custom marble penny shower niche. The shower, now featuring a double French door glass enclosure, became a bright, modern centerpiece that elevates the entire bathroom.
To infuse a touch of playfulness, navy fish wallpaper was added on the doorway wall, creating a striking contrast that adds depth and personality to the space. The result is a coastal bathroom that is not only bright and airy but also luxurious and inviting.
Throughout the project, Urbn Development took charge of the design and overall project management. Heritage Woodworks handled all carpentry tasks, ensuring that every custom element was expertly crafted and installed to perfection. The collaboration between our teams brought the client’s vision to life, transforming the bathroom into a stunning coastal retreat.
